Good morning, beautiful

It is morning, in your bed and sunshine is streaming in through the window. I can only think blearily that it was supposed to rain today...

You are wrapped around me, a clinging liana vine boy, your naked body pressed tightly to mine. I free my arm slowly and stroke your hair while you blink at me in sleepy confusion. Are we waking up? Am I just petting you?

Good morning, beautiful
How was your night?
Mine was wonderful with you by my side...

I cannot help it, love for you is swelling up in me, and I pull you in closer to me, draw your heavy head to my breast and lay it there while you wrap yourself around my supine warmth. Your fingers are stroking my neck, your toes moving along my bare legs, and we are warm and soft and drowsily aroused together.

When I open up my eyes and see your sweet face
It's a good morning, beautiful, day...

This.... this is what I love, you wrapped around me: your warmth sinking into me, fingers brushing the little hairs on my arms and your cock drowsily aroused against my hip as your lips press into my neck from habit as much as desire.

Good morning, beautiful

Sufi Night

I am happy tonight. Simply content, and full of quiet, bubbling joy.

I watched Sufis dance tonight, creating sacred space and drawing closer to God through music and movement. Their drums echoed off the sides of the buildings around them, and their bare feet pounded in time as they followed centuries-old mystic visions in a small urban park.
It was beautiful, their voices a reedy counterpoint to the deep thump of the djembes while the women in brightly colored silks handed out food to the homeless to celebrate dusk during the sacred month of Ramadan.

When I heard the drums, and saw these African men dancing, my first thought was they were performing ritual, creating sacred space, safe space to celebrate sorrow and strength. In my ethnocentric way, I assumed that they were African-American, and that their sacred space was a celebration of their mixed history here in my city in the Deep South.
I was wrong, and I was right. They were creating sacred space, but there was far more joy than sorrow to it, and I was blessed to be allowed to let it wash over me, healing me and bringing me joy and peace.
I walked to the train station is a state of bubbling joy, carrying on a beautiful conversation with a Sufi man about the nature of God and Love and Salvation, and came home to this house which I love, shared a walk with my four-legged daughter, and am curled up now with a pot of my favorite tea and my homemade Black Forest scones with butter and blackberry jam.

Tonight is a gift from a loving Universe.

Thank you.

Good day

So I haven't had much to say lately.
The past couple of weeks have been hard, and I've been taking them harder even than they deserve.

Yesterday starting me feeling better, though, so I'm going to write about it despite it's (mostly) lack of kinkiness.

Jack and I started the day with lunch with the Cunning Linguist, who's in town for a kink event. That was wonderful, as always- no really, I hate being cuddled between two extremely attractive men. Seriously. Oh noes!
Afterwards, since we were too early to go to Archer's place, we killed some time at the bookstore, where I found exactly the book I've been looking for- yay!- and spent a happy half-hour taking copious notes in the margins.

Eventually, Jack and I went out to Archer's house, and spent several hours putting arrows (mostly) into a target, for the first time in 10 years. Jack has a real talent for it, but I struggled a bit, especially since I was learning a new way to nock and fire that will be more compatible with mounted archery.
Yes, you read that right.
Mounted archery. Like this:

Yes there will be pictures eventually, but meanwhile I have to get halfway decent on the ground again, first :)

Afterwards, Terry and Lucivar joined us and we shot various firearms- Jack is enamored of the AK-47, probably at least partly due to his Russian studies.
I stuck to handguns, as they're my preference anyway. Next time I might play with the bigger toys, but it's been long enough (and my shoulders were sore enough!) that I decided to stick to what I know.

From there, we got some rather good Thai food, and then headed home, where I studied more before bed.

Every once in a while, the Universe reminds me how worth it even the unpleasant periods of my life are.

Newsflash

Being curled up between two extremely attractive men being petted and fed ice cream just fucking rocks.
Seriously?
I am the luckiest woman on earth.

Better

I'm starting to feel better.
Slowly, slowly. The better-ness is creeping up on little cat feet like fog. Slowly, quietly, so subtle that I almost dont notice it, until I look up and realize that it's wrapping gently around me, obscuring my stress like vision in the fog. I'm not on the edge of tears.
I can handle the thought of my responsibilities again.
I'm not ready to face them yet, but I can handle the thought of them again.

Yesterday, Jack and I finished our last exams, and we're anticipating pretty good grades this semester (I'm thinking 3 A's and a low B/high C), and we're now safe in Small Town, GA, with Terry and Lucivar.

Last night, I curled up in the hot tub with Lucivar, hiding under the hothot water from the chilly night air. We cuddled together- not hurting, not playing, not doing kinky things. Just cuddling and talking and relaxing as the buoyant water tried to lift me up and swirl me around with the jets of heat.
We came back inside, steaming in the chilly air and glowing pink to freshly-made oatmeal-butterscotch cookies (Terry is a phenomenal cook) and the loving companionship of our partners, and I just relaxed for a little while, surrounded by people I love.

It was one of the best nights of my life.

It is absolutely amazing what a full belly, immediattely followed by 12 hours straight of sleep, can do for my outlook on life.

Especially with the impending promise of horseback riding this afternoon with who is rapidly becoming one of my favorite people.

Things that don't suck

Having an ex text me and tell me that he had an awesome dream/fantasy about me, then describe it and tell me he was going to go and masturbate :)

Weekend

Terry and Lucivar came to visit.
In fact, I'm writing this early in the morning (ok, 0830) as everyone else sleeps in a little. We went out to my favorite gay bar last night- a little hole-in-the-wall with the best drinks, best bartender, and sweetest people ever. I'll never be able to replace it once I move.

There's nothing spectacularly kinky to report- they got in late Friday night and we all hung out for a bit, went to the Farmer's Market and the beach, then to dinner with my minister and his husband and another very kinky couple Jack and I are close to, and this morning, post-services, we'll be going horseback riding at a friend of mine's.
Well, the conversations have been spectacularly kinky, and it seems like it may have been an interesting relief for them to be able to be open in what was ostensibly a vanilla setting about their interests and dynamic.

Quick vignettes:
Yesterday, at the beach... I live 45 minutes from some of the nicest beaches on the Gulf Coast. Seriously, I do. It's an easy drive, but I haven't made it in 3 years. Don't ask me why, I just never have.
Yesterday, with Terry and Lucivar, I did. We wandered the sugar-sand beaches looking for shells (Terry is a woman obsessed!), and every little while I would get tired of that (read: a crick in my neck) and make my way to the water's edge. I stood barefoot in the surf, feeling the cool, salty water caress my toes, and looked out over the endless horizon. The waves dug small holes in the sand around my feet, creating arch supports for me as the sun warmed (read: burned) my shoulders.
In those moments, there with earth beneath my feet and air blowing mischeviously around me, ancient water lapping at my ankles and the fiery sun caressing my skin, there with people I love around me, there I felt my heart fill until I wanted to simply scream out how incredibly blessed I am.

Last night, at the bar, the cigar smoke got too heavy (one of our friends is a pretty serious cigar smoker- his humidor is worth more than my car, and its contents worth more than most anything I own!) with he, his beautiful wife, and Lucivar all smoking, so I wandered outside (okay, staggered light-headedly... did I mention I'm a might allergic to smoke? One of the reasons I rarely go to bars) into the courtyard which was blissfully empty. I leaned against the railing, staring down into the algae-covered landscape pond, and wheezing a little as I tried to clear my head of the smoky cobwebs caused by the lack of oxygen. Jack and Lucivar came out to check on me, and there for a few moments, I stood there between them, surrounded by their love and concern, the love of my friends inside still glowing like a warm haven just a few feet away.

Today, we'll go horseback riding, where I am more comfortable than I am on my two feet. I'll probably ride bareback, doing little levades and caprioles on whichever horse needs work the most. Most of these won't be consensual on my part, more a constant, low-level 'discussion' of what direction we're going and at what speed. I'll ride between two of my favorite people, probably giving a running riding lesson even as I ignore half of my own advice in the argument with my mount.
And I'll grin ear to ear, because the Universe really, really loves me.

17 October 2008

It's a drizzly, rainy day in Small Town, GA, where I am right now.
The sky is grey and bleak, and it's just cold enough for there to be no pleasure whatsoever in the weather.

Im supposed to be working right now.
Actually, I'm supposed to be in Alabama, packing up to leave work.

Instead, I'm curled up on Terry and Lucivar's couch with a mug of chai that Jack made for me and a soft blanket, blogging and looking up movie times to take our gracious hosts out tonight.

Full Moon

Last night, at Terry and Lucivar's, I spent the Full Moon in their hot tub.
Terry was at a meeting, so it was Jack, Lucivar, and I in the hot tub.

I sat opposite the boys, and just to prove to me how incredibly wonderful my life is, and the men in it are, they each took a foot and started rubbing.

Ok, they may have had different motivation, but that's how I took it.

I sat buoyed in hot water (salt, so it didn't even reek of chlorine!), my head cradled by the back of the tub, staring at the incandescent moon glowing like silver sun through the pine trees, while two beautiful men rubbed my feet.

Really, my life is absolutely fucking amazing. And I mean really fucking amazing.

Later, Terry joined us, and we all sat around in the hot water and chatted for a while.

Why I love my partner

Quote regarding abortion and reproductive rights:
"I just don't think it's right that 60 year old men (the Supreme Court) are making decisions about what women can do with their bodies."

Weekend adventures

Yesterday I rode my motorcycle a few hours north to meet Lucivar for lunch. It was a wonderful afternoon.

First, I got up early and had breakfast with my lovely Olga, a beautiful, talented, smart blonde who I met by accident (in fact, I'm using the name of the person I thought she was as her blog-name ;-) and have been wanting to tie up and beat ever since. And the best part? She really wants to be tied up and beaten :)
Anyway, we had a lovely breakfast: Jack, Olga, the dog, and me. It was a nice, relaxed morning sipping tea and eating the best eggs benedict ever in the shade at our favorite sidewalk cafe and watching the Saturday morning pedestrians. Afterwards, we played for a few minutes in the park alongside (the same park where Tattoogirl and I keep running into each other), and then I got on the bike to ride to the best pizza place ever.

The ride was... amazing. It was warm, and sunny, and the wind blew through my jacket and the spaces between the laces of my boots. It was the longest ride I've ever done alone- 3 hours one way, and realizing halfway there that my AAA membership is expired was... scary... but I made it up fine. I stopped to see my favorite gas station attendant, but he wasn't there that day.

The one unpleasant part was the wasp in my helmet. Yes, a wasp got into my helmet while I was riding 85mph. I felt something hit my face, a sharp sting (way too) near my eye, and then out of the corner of my eye I could see a wasp inside my helmet.
See Bella quietly have a panic attack, because I knew for a fact that if that wasp stung my face while I was doing 85 on the interstate, that I would wreck and die. Just that simple. So I started frantically looking for an exit (THANK YOU STATE OF ALABAMA FOR DESTROYING THE SHOULDERS SO I COULDN'T PULL OVER), steadily panicking as the wasp started flying around inside of my helmet. I knew lifting my visor would only cause the wind to show it farther into my face- and my vulnerable eyes- so I was terrified. Finally, it landed on the top of my visor and I was able to open that and duck my head to force it out. Then I pulled off at the next exit and just trembled for a minute.
YIKES!

I finalyl arrived- nearly an hour later than I'd anticipated (oops. Again, Sorry, Lucivar!) and he was sitting there outside of the pizza place, reading a book. I could only grin as I walked up and hugged him.

We had a wonderful pizza for lunch, then just sat around and chatted for a while as I ran my fingernails up and down his arms and along his hands. He makes such yummy noises.
After a little while, we went to the same park where Kat and I hung out when met there, and had a lovely time just chatting and teasing and me hurting him a bit. It was... nice.

I gave him a piece of bloodstone that came into my hands almost exactly a year ago. I've never known exactly what it was meant for, exactly what I was supposed to do with it- until yesterday, as I got dressed, and I passed my house altar and saw it. I knew instantly why I'd been gifted with it, so I put it in my pocket and then set an alarm on my phone to remind me to give it to him.

Bloodstone. If you've never seen it, it looks like this:

Bloodstone was known to medieval Christians as the martyrs' stone, because it was believed that it was first formed when drops of Christ's blood mingled with the earth at Golgotha. To this day, it is used in some parts of the East for healing, and as an aphrodisiac.
Yeah. Apt, isn't it? His response was... gratifying.
I also received an absolutely love footrub as we lay there, despite the ants, and some nice just plain cuddling.
Then he gave me some bamboo skewers, which I used to carve into his arm a little reminder of me while he's at work this week. Yay.
Finally, we returned to the coffeeshop attached to the pizza place and had some really wonderful gelato and discussed how much we like one another. It's a conversation that, while eventually a bit repetitive, never seems to get old :)
Eventually, it was time to go, so some really lovely hair-pulling and chewing later, I finally forced myself onto the bike and rode home. The first hour was quite nice, cool without being terribly cold, and I had some nice warm memories in the pit of my stomach.
The last two hours, however, were a frozen, windburnt hell, and Skya and I are quite thoroughly tired of one another, I think.
Although not so tired that I'm not thinking of going down to somewhere with wireless on her and curling up while I work on my to-do list.
When I finally got in, I crawled into a hot bath then went very shortly to bed.
Life is good.
Today, I got reminded just how kinky my church is: the necklace that I wear, which Lucivar loaned me when my opal broke (and no, puppy, you're not ever getting it back. Just so you know.), is a small handcuff. That opens and closes. I cannot tell you how many of my fellow UUs wanted to play with it, comment on it, ask about it, and make sly suggestions about why I was wearing it.
Yeah. Kinky congregation. Seriously.
I just grinned like a cat in the cream througth the whole thing, and worked hard to not blush when the comments hit close to home.

Tattoogirl

You know the Universe is trying to make up for a shitty day, when a beautiful tattooed girl plops down next to you at the Square where you're reading and minding your own business (and torturing Danny with fun and painful things you could do to him), and tells you that she wants to play.
Universe: I fucking love you.

Things that don't suck

Let it just be mentioned that today is a fucking amazing day to be on the motorcycle.
Fucking A-Maz-Ing.
There is no greated feeling of freedom than the warm vibrations, the low throb of the engine, the wind working its way through my jacket and along my skin, and the utter joy of being astride my baby.
Yay.

Oh yeah, and shared oral with Jack fucking rocks. Yay for a cooperative body again!
